The Blueberry

    The Blueberry:

  • Owner: Jason

  • B/D: 9/30/87

  • Truck: 1977 chevy k10

  • Specs: sb350 t350 np203 full time 4x4

  • Extras: 4" susp. 3" body, edelbrock manifold (torker), edelbrock carb., electric fan, cobra CB

  • $Spent: $800 cash for truck, $500 for 35x15x16 Boggers (off the red dragon), $50 toolbox, $100 CB

(Picture was taken at time of test drive) This rig had no front driveline, no battery, fuel pump problems, and a bed FULL of garbage, it was thought to have engine problems, and a bad tranny/t-case. At first look it was a straight old chevy, but the inside was rough. I gave my opinion on the truck and thats all it took to persuade Jason to buy a battery and give it a shot. After the battery was installed and the leaky fuel lines fixed, it fired right up, surprising the owner. Down the road we went on a test drive. Soon it was apparent that what was thought to be a bad drivetrain was nothing but a worn out u-joint. The truck was immediately paid for, $800 cash.

The next day a spare 4" lift was installed, to go along with the already existing 3" body. Some 35" swamper boggers were applied, a front driveline bolted on that came from a heap of spare chevy parts, new ujoint, and we were wheelin'.
